#MemeBox Volume Up: Unboxing and Review

Today I am unboxing and reviewing MemeBox’s “Volume Up” collection. I was a little worried that the box might be too makeup-heavy from the description, but purchased it as a value set because I wanted to get the express shipping upgrade. Read on to see what I thought.

Item #1: Mizon Watervolume Gel Cream. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Mizon from the bloggerverse and am excited to try this out.

Item 2. There were two possible choices for this, and I got the bust cream. I’m not really very sure whether I want to use this or not. I find the whole brand a little strange tbh.

Item #3: This is a leave-in treatment for hair. I will probably use this because I like the fact that I don’t need to wash it out–plus my hair is starting to get pretty dry because of the cold weather.

Memebox’s description card calls this a “pearl powder” to add glitter and radiance to your skin, and instructs the user to apply it along upper and lower lash lines and/or over your eyelids. I suppose this is some kind of highlighter? (I hardly wear makeup, so am completely lost by this.)

This is the Pureplus+ Lip Treatment Milk Bebe. It’s to replenish chapped lips–I should break into this soon because my lips are so chapped they recently split while I was eating (TMI, sorry :P) I’m a fan of anything milk-flavored or fragranced.

This is a “lip plumper” from TonyMoly. The product is pretty cute–looks like blue glitter in a tube–but I’m a little annoyed by how thick and sticky the product is. I have to pump pretty hard to get enough out of the tube, and it doesn’t spread easily on my lips.

Ernesti “Ultra Volume” mascara. Again I rarely wear makeup but I guess one can always use another mascara.

All in all I’m a little underwhelmed by the Volume Up box, simply because I would have preferred more face products. I’m surprised that given the name of the box some kind of moisturizer or mask wasn’t provided–that would have greatly improved the box for me. As it is, the box is fine, just not really what I like from Korean skincare products.
